Why "Me First"?
The Bible is replete with examples of men and women who were called to greatness -- and failed. It also chronicles the stories of many others who were similarly called, yet managed to achieve good success. Often, it seems that the single most important factor which distinguished those who succeeded from those who did not was the faithful practice of self-leadership. If you are motivated by a desire to fully actualize the potential which God has placed within you, Me First Coaching is here to help.
Now is the time.
Scripture says that "now" is the time of salvation or wholeness. At Me First Coaching, we believe that makes today an ideal day to pursue change.
(Hebrews 11: 1; 2 Corinthians 6:2, KJV)
Up is the direction.
One reason the life of faith is beautiful is because it is a life of looking up and away from ourselves. With God, all things are possible.
(Matthew 19:26;Mark 9:23, KJV)
Good success is the goal.
God's grace makes a balanced and utterly successful life possible. Even if we have wasted our energies in times past, going forward, we are free to build on the rock.
(Joshua 1: 8; Matthew 7, KJV)

Prior to my coaching sessions with Andrea Smith, I was uncertain about continuing the path I was on for homeschooling my 8 year old daughter. Most times, I felt unprepared and consistently questioned my ability to successfully guide her through the third grade. However, I really wanted to continue, but not without a well thought out plan that I felt confident enough to pursue. After discussing my concerns with Andrea about my homeschool experience, we further discussed what my goals were and finally developed a well thought out plan that worked for both myself and my daughter. After the coaching sessions, I felt encouraged and prepared to start my new journey homeschooling my daughter!

Andrea and I were classmates in our FLOW coaching training. I lived in Hong Kong, however, we were able to practice our coaching skills via video conferencing and built up great support towards each other in our coaching journey. I was coached by Andrea approximately 6 times, each time for 30 - 60 minutes. I found Andrea to be a competent coach with a pleasant and encouraging manner. She often asked good questions that led me to more in-depth thinking regarding my issues. She allowed sufficient room for my self-development and shifting of my attitudes or paradigms toward my own being. I always got good resolution with a constructive plan to take away in each session. I consider Andrea a very trustworthy friend of mine whom I believe that I could go to when I have issues that needs coaching support. I have high respect toward Andrea as she demonstrates herself to be an intelligent, calm and professional person. I admired her strong will power, self-confidence and continuous determination to accomplish her goal. I have no hesitation to recommend her as a trustworthy, proficient and effective coach.

Having Andrea as a coach was truly a blessing. Her method of coaching gave me a space to sort out my thoughts so I could become more self-aware of what and how I was thinking. I find it can be difficult when you’re in the middle of your own stumbling blocks to recognize how you may be hindering your own progress. Having her attentive ear to bounce off my thoughts was instrumental in my coming to terms with the underlying hindrances, desires, and intentions that I otherwise would not have taken time to consider deeply. What I also found extremely helpful was the way Andrea would capture many of the key points that had been raised during our sessions. I really benefited from the way she would send a summary of some of the insights that came about during our calls and her providing direct quotes that I had spoken. This was significant to me because it really allowed me to remain present during our sessions without having to break the flow of deeper reflection by stopping to take notes. Not only were her notes significant at the time, but as I write this several months after our coaching sessions ended, I see the absolute significance in how her coaching generated initial insights that have created breakthroughs towards actions that I find myself engaging in months later. Her coaching helped to provide the initial seeds towards moving more purposely toward my real desires and intentions.

What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall he not with Him also freely give us all things? Romans 8:31-32 (King James Version)
